Thousand Below Release 4th Single “Sleepless”

Thousand Below continue to tease us with amazing music ahead of their debut album The Love You Let Too Close, releasing their fourth single Sleepless.

I am seriously pumped for the album, October 6 can’t come soon enough.

We Came As Romans’ New Song Absolutely Rips

We Came As Romans have released the lead single from their upcoming album, the title track Cold Like War, and it’s an absolute killer.

Tracing Back Roots was a fantastic album, but after following that up with their lacklustre self titled album in 2015, it’s great to see them writing good music again. Last year’s standalone single Wasted Age indicated they were on the right track, and this first track from the new album confirms they’re back to their best.

I’m seriously struggling to keep up with all this new music being released lately. But I’m not complaining.

SECRETS Release Incredible New Song

After much anticipation, Secrets have dropped a new single Incredible, along with a new music video.

One of the criticisms of their last album Everything That Got Us Here was the lack of vocals for unclean vocalist Wade Walters, which was partly what made In Loving Memory and Turn The Page such standout tracks. Like most Secrets songs it is dominated by cleans, but it still has a good balance and I love the atmospheric chorus.

To date, each of Secrets’ albums have featured a different unclean vocalist. It looks like, for the first time, Secrets will have the same unclean on successive albums. Hurry up and announce it already.

You can watch the video for Incredible below.

Thousand Below Announce New Album With A Chilling New Single

Thousand Below have finally announced their debut album, “The Love You Let Too Close”, which will be released on October 6.

They have also released a new single No Place Like You. It’s not as catchy as their first too singles but instead is a quite emotional song that managed to make me cry.

Listen to No Place Like You:

You can pre-order the album with some cool merch over at MerchNow.

I pre-ordered the mega bundle, this is seriously my most anticipated album of 2017.

Dayseeker Release “Sleep In The Sea Part 2” With Silent Planet’s Garrett Russell

Dayseeker have released their third single, Sleep In The Sea Part 2, from their new album Dreaming Is Sinking /// Waking Is Rising, which will be released on Friday. The track features guest vocals from Silent Planet‘s Garrett Russell. The song hit Spotify on Friday, followed by the music video today.

The band was forced to announce the release via Silent Planet’s Facebook page as Dayseeker’s official page was hacked. They have finally got control of the page back, although it looks like they have lost some of their data.

I got an email yesterday saying my pre-order had just been shipped. Unfortunately that means there’ll be about 4 weeks until I actually get my hands on my purchase, but regardless this is going to be one of the most anticipated albums on 2017.

The Amity Affliction Release Gory Music Video For “Can’t Feel My Face” Cover

The Amity Affliction have released a new cover with music video of The Weekend’s Can’t Feel My Face. The song is taken from the upcoming Punk Goes Pop Volume 7. The video shows a band of vigilantes taking down zombies in a high school or college campus.

Personally, I think the cover could have been better. It sounds way too similar to Our Last Night’s cover of the same song. That’s not to say it’s bad, but just that they should have gone for a different style, for instance full on heaviness like August Burns Red’s cover of Wrecking Ball.

To Speak Of Wolves Debut “Haunt Me” From New Album “Dead In The Shadow”

To Speak Of Wolves are preparing to release their first full length album since returning from hiatus, with the first single out today. Haunt Me is the opening track from the album, and is about letting go of people you can’t help any longer, as described by vocalist Gage Speas.

“Haunt Me’ is one of my favourite songs off the record. It was a pretty emotional experience tracking vocals. The lyrics are about letting go of people you love when it becomes apparent that you just can’t help them anymore. You’ve done everything you can and have to walk away. When we sat back and all listened to it in the studio, we knew right away this was going to be the first song we released.”

The song hasn’t hit online retailers yet but you can listen on SoundCloud below.

The new album Dead In The Shadow is set to release on July 21, and is available to preorder through MerchNow.

Memphis May Fire Drop Surprise New Track “Virus”

Memphis May Fire have surprised anyone not attending Warped Tour by dropping a new track “Virus“. There’s a few live videos on Youtube that have popped up in the last few days but this definitely took me by surprise.

The new song follows the progression that the band made with This Light I Hold, with a more radio rock sound as opposed to the metalcore of their earlier albums. This has led to some people on social media suggesting this may feature on a potential deluxe edition of This Light I Hold. The track also features some nice technical guitar work.

I love Matty‘s clean vocals, he’s one of the best singers in the alternative scene, but I’d love to hear some more music in the vein of The Hollow. There are an awful lot of bands moving away from their heavier roots (I’m looking at you Linkin Park), and this trend is a little concerning.

Virus is available online, and you can stream the new song below.

Dayseeker Premier New Song “Abandon”

Dayseeker have released their second single “Abandon” from their upcoming album Dreaming Is Sinking /// Waking Is Rising. If these first two tracks are any indication, we’re in for a killer album.

Listen to the new song below.

Update 17/6

Turns out there’s a music video too. It’s mainly a live performance video, so the video doesn’t carry on with the concept of the album like the video for Vultures did.
